People Development Programs - First Time Managers Workshop

Managing individuals as a First time manger can be a daunting task, especially when individuals are not armed with competencies that can assist them in People Management. The development of self and subsequently developing one's team is a prerequisite to a comfortable run as a manager. There should be planned efforts focused towards enhancing one's capacity for managing employees, leading to transformation of business and an overall increase in productivity.

 

Objectives

The workshop is designed to assist participants to

 

  • Develop clear insights about their own strengths and weaknesses as a leader
  • Learn skills for setting clear goals and executing projects for greater success of the team
  • Acquire skills to develop people with a high level of ownership

  • Manage the team using appropriate leadership styles and to manage team expectations
  • Motivate, Direct, Guide and Develop Team Members for higher responsibilities
  • Delegate responsibility (not micro manage)
  • Build trust, commitment and ownership within the team towards a common goal
  • Manage team performance - give fact based feedback
