Strengths Based Development - Case Study

Client

The client is a world leader in oncology drugs and a leading brand in innovating health care in India since 1957.

 

Organizational Context

Client does not have direct manufacturing base in India and their distribution strategy was undergoing change and which was likely to impact most of the roles in the organization. In order to strengthen its presence in Indian Market amidst of strong competition, a strong need for capability development initiatives was felt. The company thus partnered with NAMAN to design the interventions across employee segments.

 

NAMAN Intervention

The interventions were to be aligned with Organization's corporate principles viz. Competencies, Values, and Commitments with focus on specific behavior indicators for specific group of employees. The intervention was to be designed using Strength's platform. Overall objectives were:

 

To enable participants to leverage their full potential for achieving excellence in the dynamic environment.

 

To assist each participant to reflect, realize and act to develop to its full potential using his/ her strength

 

Benefits

A total of 400+ employees were covered under the intervention with observable changes among the employee's behavior at self and team level as per identified objective of the various groups they belonged to. Changes were also observed around employees thriving on using their i.e. self, manager and team's strengths for achieving results.

 

Two important and key teams in the organization also used Strengths platform to design their vision, mission and goals for the current financial year with their entire team, which was first and one of its kind in the organization.

 

In order to continue the momentum of learning and development and sustain Strengths based culture of the organization, the HR representatives of the organization have included Strengths tools as part of their employee on boarding process. That is each and every new joinee in the organization is supposed to take StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment and share his/her signature theme with his team, manager and organization so that all 3 parties can help him/ her leverage his/ her strengths for current & future role effectiveness as well as derive satisfaction out of the job and enjoy what he/ she is doing.
