Leadership Interventions - Case Study


The client is a world-leading gas and engineering company.


Organizational Context

The Client's success is built on their expertise in extensive process engineering and it's planning, project development and construction of turnkey industrial plants. With more than 1,000 process engineering patents and 4,000 completed plant projects, client is one of the leading international plant contractors.


In today's competitive environment, when companies have to closely monitor costs and improve efficiency, competencies of their Managers and key employees are critical not only for obtaining competitive advantage, but also to survive. Client organization, therefore, considered it necessary to undertake a developmental intervention for enhancing leadership capabilities of their top and second line leaders and align them towards organization's Global Competencies.


The organization had identified 75 senior and middle managers from across functions for this leadership intervention focusing on the following objectives:


  • To orient on organizational competencies
  • To develop structured people development skills and inspiring implementation
  • To bring everyone on the same platform of awareness about organizational values and culture


NAMAN Intervention

The intervention titled BOLT® was aligned with the Organization's intent to orient the senior and middle level managers on organizational competencies viz. Develop Self and Others.


The BOLT® for 3 batches was designed in alignment with the client organization's culture and specific requirements.


All three BOLT® interventions were designed to be executed in three phases.


The first phase consisted of various Psychometric tests and other tools to help participants become self aware about individual behaviours.


The second phase included various approaches like in-house training programs focusing on various competencies, projects and coaching sessions to help participants develop various leadership capabilities.


The final phase of BOLT® paved a structured path for the participants to sustain their individual development and growth.



  • BOLT® carved a path for the participants for continuous learning and self-development. Intervention helped participants realize the importance of being conscious about their own behavior and its impact on the team members as a leader.
  • Various approaches have helped the participants in developing a collaborative team environment among participants. The barriers were broken and a bridge of improved relationship was built.
  • The journey of the intervention has helped the participants in being more customer centric.
